You Be My Anchor

Have you ever heard or seen something so beautiful that it gives you a longing to create, or be as beautiful? I have, many times. The song I'm listening to right now is by a band called Mayday Parade, its called I'll be the Wings that Keep your Heart in the Clouds, You be the Anchor that Keeps My Feet On the Ground. I know, really long title, but gorgeous song. I swear every time I listen to it, I have a longing to create and be something as beautiful.

I thought I'd throw this out there, its cheesy, yes. But its true.

"Good Morning... but I digress." You gotta love that commercial.

Long time no type! My poor blog (which no one reads, so its not like I'm breaking hearts here) has been neglected for months. My FIF dvd was AMAZINGNESS³!!! They should get a Grammy, or is it Emmy. Is that even how you spell them? Are they for music? Oh good grief, you get the idea (even if I don't).

Life has been kinda crappy these last few months. My grandfather is dying, (they gave him 48 hours tops yesterday), I got a B in science, which means I'll have to take it over again next year from the same freaking books which I hate with a burning passion, (more on that later), and the typical Socialistic crap has been going on in Washington, but that's not exactly new.

Bright side though... *turns lamp toward screen*. Someone finally told off a teacher I can't stand! It twas' amazing.... even though a good bunch of people got made at him for doing so because our lovely teacher decided since we were being so disrespectful by arguing her amazing judgement (which was completely wrong by-the-way), she gave us this ridiculous amount of homework and didn't teach it. Well, she never really teaches, its more like she writes what's in the book on the board and tells us to write it down, then acts like she does us a great favor by doing so. I'd like to point out that its the only reason she gets paid, and that if she doesn't teach, my money shouldn't fill out her pay check, but she's been nice to me lately and I don't want to mess that up. Anyways, it was still amazing. I applaud him.

You wanna know something lazy and nerdy that I really want? Pajama jeans. Yep, I'm hoping I can get past the dress code of no sweats by wearing those. But then I went online and it said they were over 50 freaking bucks! That' s so dumb! UGH! Why does the cool-yet totally useless-stuff always have to be so expensive?!?

I think I shall end my rant there. Good day my non- existent followers... but I digress. :)

Hello my poor neglected blog! I'm sorry for all the random Civil War themed posts I've done. I have exciting news though! The FIF dvd will be mine next Friday-ish! WOOTNESS! I'm excited. Very much so! Oh, its gonna rock!

Abortion?

Yes, the word that gets people's blood boiling for an argument. I thought I'd share my views on the controversial issue. Morally, I believe its completely wrong. If you've ever read my blog before, it should be fairly evident. I'm an unapologetic Christian. I'm very blunt about what I believe. Abortion is murder. I believe it shouldn't be done. Its a simple as that, but when you add it into politics, it gets tricky.

America is a free nation. It always has been, and God willing it always will be (Though I have my doubts on the latter at this point.) Its what I love about America, and its exactly the argument Pro-Choice advocates through in my face. "Its a free country, let the woman decide what she does with her own body." But you see, that argument doesn't really stand. I'm going to start with their second argument so mine will make more sense. "A woman can decide what she does with her own body." Well, true, the baby lives in her body, but it isn't her. There is no question that if that baby makes it into adulthood, its a person. One who thinks for itself, has its own opinions, AND its own, functional body. That little life inside her isn't just part of her body. Its a person, just like you and me.

Now for the second argument. "America's a free country. We can do what we want." Yes, it is a free country. But that doesn't mean we let murders run about the street killing whoever they feel like it. We don't let people steal things or kidnap children. We are a free nation, BUT we do have laws. I do believe that not killing people is apart of that law.

Now for the third argument. "But its not really a baby, its a fetus or a blob of tissue. It doesn't have rights until it comes out of the womb." BUt of course its a baby! If its not a baby, you have issues lady. If that "blob of tissue" was allowed to grow up, it would become a person. Even if you don't believe its a person before its born, you'd be an idiot to argue it wouldn't be a person in 20 years. Its still murder. Sure, there isn't a guarantee that it would make it into adulthood even if you didn't abort it. But life has no guarantee. It doesn't give you the right to stop a life just after its begun.

Now, I do have exceptions . 1. If you're a rape victim. 2. If its probable that the baby and you wouldn't make it if you had it. But those are the only accept . As the Pro-Choice-ers always say, "Its the woman's choice." If that's the case, the woman could have chosen not to have sex. Or at least have gone on a birth control of some sort. Heck, there are even day-after pills for crying out loud! Abortion isn't a back-up birth control. Its a last means. Those should be the only exceptions in my opinion.
